Drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine escalated, with Russia’s defence ministry claiming 389 Ukrainian drones were shot down and at least five people killed in strikes.
Six guided bombs hit a residential area in Sumy and more than 40 people were injured, while Ukraine targeted Russian energy sites in the Leningrad region and St Petersburg, prompting petrol queues in Moscow.
