Bandi Sanjay sees a conspiracy to remove Hindu votes
JAGTIAL Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar claimed that there was a conspiracy to remove Hindu voters from the electoral rolls
JAGTIAL Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar claimed that there was a conspiracy to remove Hindu voters from the electoral rolls on a large scale in Telangana, and accused the ruling Congress of trying to misuse the SIR process and urged voters to remain vigilant. Sanjay alleged that the State government was not fully cooperating with the officials in carrying out the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and this was a concern and there could be a conspiracy.
He was addressing the media at Desaipet village in Jagtial district after inaugurating a bus shelter and a CC road on Saturday. He also alleged that the previous BRS government and the present Congress government have saddled Telangana with nearly ₹ 10 lakh crore in debt, placing a huge financial burden on the people of the State. “If this trend continues, Telangana risks facing a financial crisis similar to that experienced by Sri Lanka or Pakistan,” Mr. Sanjay said.
“Despite massive borrowing, what has the government achieved?” he asked. Listing the Centre’s development initiatives, he said more than ₹10,000 crore had been spent exclusively on road infrastructure development in the Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency over the past seven years. He said the Karimnagar-Warangal Highway is being developed at a cost of ₹2,147 crore and is expected to be opened to the public by Dasara this year.
“The Elkaturthy-Siddipet Highway project, estimated at ₹ 578 crore, is progressing rapidly. The Centre has already sanctioned ₹ 2,003 crore for the expansion of the Karimnagar-Jagtial highway and work will commence soon, he added.
