The JSW Group has lined up a total investment of ₹50,361 crore in Andhra Pradesh, including the largest investment of approximately ₹20,350 crore in renewable energy projects under execution in Kadapa, Sri Sathya Sai, Anantapur and Kurnool districts, followed by ₹16,350 crore in Rayalaseema Steel Plant (RSP) in Kadapa district, whose construction was launched by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on July 3. According to official sources, as of 2026, the Mumbai-based diversified conglomerate is operating 460 MW of wind power capacity, 18 MW thermal power, 10 MW solar power and 5 MW hybrid power and a 4.20 MMTPA cement plant in Kurnool district.
Besides, the company has been allotted 3,350 MW of solar power generation capacity across Kadapa, Sri Sathya Sai and Anantapur districts and its wind power portfolio in Kurnool, Kadapa and Anantapur districts comprise both operational assets and projects under development which are poised to reach a total capacity of approximately 759 MW. The JSW Group company has made investments of ₹11,230 crore in the mining sector in Prakasam and Sri Sathya Sai districts and ₹531 crore in the JSW Industrial Park in Vizianagaram district.
A 400 MW solar power plant being set up at Sunnapurallapalle village in Kadapa district by JSW Neo Energy with an investment of ₹2,000 crore will largely cater to the RSP, in which ₹4,500 crore is being invested in Phase - I. It may be noted that the JSW Group has established its presence in steel manufacturing in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Chhattisgarh and its upcoming steel plant in Kadapa district is poised to be a major positive development for the State on the industrial front.
