Metro services were briefly disrupted on Saturday after a passenger entered the track area at the Rajajinagar Metro Station, prompting officials to activate emergency safety procedures. According to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the incident occurred at 12.25 p.m. “The Station Controller and security personnel responded immediately by implementing the prescribed emergency protocols,” an official said.
“The passenger was safely rescued from the track area without sustaining any injuries,” officials added. Following the rescue, officials ensured that all mandatory safety checks and operational protocols were completed before train services were restored. “The incident led to a delay of approximately 10 minutes in Metro operations.
Normal train services resumed at 12.34 p.m. after the track was cleared and the required safety procedures were completed,” official explained. The BMRCL did not
disclose the identity of the passenger or the circumstances that led to the individual entering the track area.
