The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) has directed Telegram to take immediate action against the circulation of pirated films and OTT content on its platform. According to the directive, Telegram has been asked to initiate action against repeat infringers, including channels, groups, bots and accounts found to be repeatedly sharing copyrighted content. The platform has also been instructed to submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) to the Ministry within 15 days.
