A local court has sent two accused individuals in a murder case at Lohgad Fort to fourteen days of judicial custody. Police had requested a three-day extension of police custody to investigate the code words and secret signals the suspects used in their conversations. Investigators also recovered a second mobile phone belonging to one of the accused, which has been seized along with another previously recovered phone.
Both devices will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory to retrieve deleted messages. The prosecution aims to reconstruct these communications to gather corroborative evidence against the suspects. The investigation continues as authorities gather further evidence.
