'No More Talks': JAAC Slams Door On Pakistan After PoK Protest Leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir’s Arrest | Exclusive Details Reported By, Last Updated: July 03, 2026, 16:47 IST JAAC has issued a massive call to arms across all three districts of the Muzaffarabad Division, rallying citizens to completely paralyse the region on July 5 Activist Shaukat Nawaz Mir. File image The recent arrest of protest leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir has triggered a severe escalation of tensions in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, prompting an explosive ultimatum from the Joint Action Committee (JAAC). Core leader Khalid Majeed Banday has officially slammed the door on any further dialogue with the Pakistani establishment, declaring that the time for talks and meetings has entirely passed as the committee awaits July 4 to finalise its strategy.
Framing the current crisis as a desperate battle for the sheer survival of future generations, Banday exposed the deep-seated state oppression that has made living peacefully under Pakistani control an impossible nightmare. In a direct defiance of state authority, he issued a massive call to arms across all three districts of the Muzaffarabad Division, rallying citizens to completely paralyse the region on July 5 and retaliate against ongoing state atrocities. The movement has now transcended basic demands and grievances, transforming into a crucial fight for honour, self-respect, identity, and the national agenda championed by the JAAC. Banday strongly appealed to the public to pour onto the streets in massive numbers, holding the Kashmiri flag high to signal to powerful forces that brute force will never bow their heads.
He emphasised that even while carrying the bodies of their martyrs, Kashmiris remain committed to a peaceful yet unyielding stance, with the upcoming Long March ultimately heading towards the Muzaffarabad Assembly. Faced with an ongoing internet blackout, the leadership is adapting its tactics by urging locals to spread the message to every single child via traditional phone calls. Furthermore, the appeal has expanded globally, with a specific call to the Kashmiri diaspora in the United Kingdom—particularly those from the Muzaffarabad Division—to fully participate in the upcoming Million March. Banday concluded with absolute defiance, asserting that the final victory inevitably belongs to truth, justice, and the resilient people of Kashmir.
