'Justice Will Be Exemplary': RSS' Indresh Kumar Urges Patience In Ram Mandir Donation Probe Published By, Last Updated: July 03, 2026, 16:57 IST Kumar urged that the matter should be allowed to proceed without political interference and that politicians should refrain from playing politics over the issue. Rapid Read Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar. (PTI file photo) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar on Friday said the investigation into the alleged irregularities linked to donations at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya should be allowed to proceed without political interference. Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Kumar said that the government has initiated steps to address the alleged embezzlement case by constituting a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
“The Government of India has initiated activities to resolve this issue by constituting an SIT, so we should wait," Kumar said. He also urged the politicians to refrain from playing politics over the issue. “Politicians should not play politics. I am fully confident that whatever happens with the government, trust, and organization all together, it will be such justice that will be praiseworthy." “We should wait for justice," the RSS leader added. Calls For Justice Kumar’s remarks came after RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said the incident had “deeply hurt" the sentiments and faith of society, and called for strict punishment if anyone is found guilty following the investigation. Hosabale also alleged that “anti-Hindu and anti-national forces" were attempting to malign the Hindu dharma by exploiting the incident, and urged devotees to show restraint and patience during “this difficult moment" to thwart such “conspiracies".
“The unfortunate incident of theft in the donation boxes kept at the Shri Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya has deeply hurt the sentiments and faith of the entire society and Ram devotees," the RSS second-in-command said in a statement on X Friday. “We are all extremely pained and angered by this event," he added.
