Despite heavy rainfall in and around the cave area since late Thursday evening, thousands of devotees continue to make their way via steep mountainous tracks from Pahalgam and Baltal.
Pilgrims are using various means, including walking, ponies, and palkis, to navigate the challenging terrain. The 57-day pilgrimage is drawing a large number of devotees from across India and the world, with expectations of a record-breaking turnout this year.
