At least four people were killed and several others severely injured after a speeding LPG tanker rammed into a road divider and exploded near the Sihori toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district. The collision, which occurred while the tanker was travelling from Kanpur to Varanasi, caused a massive gas leak followed by a catastrophic fire that engulfed the surrounding area.
Harrowing CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on Thursday, capturing the exact moment the speeding vehicle lost control and crashed, triggering a devastating blaze. The intense fire heavily damaged the toll plaza infrastructure and nearby buildings. The injured victims, including toll plaza employees, were rushed to Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj for severe burn treatments. Among the deceased were the tanker driver and several others who succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
