A shocking incident of toddler abuse has emerged from a daycare centre situated within a tech company campus in Bengaluru. Video evidence shot by a whistleblower reveals daycare workers subjecting children to severe mistreatment, including forcing toddlers into a front-loading washing machine, making them sit on a toilet, and spraying water into their mouths. Following a complaint routed through a child helpline, local law enforcement visited the site to verify the location and registered an official case.
Police have now arrested one daycare worker and issued legal notices to three others involved in the abuse. The tech company has temporarily shut down the daycare facility and terminated the accused staff members. The state government has assured strict action, emphasising a zero-tolerance policy towards such offenses and mandating thorough background checks for creche workers. Authorities have also announced plans to inspect all daycare centres across the city to ensure full compliance with childcare and safety regulations.
