Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation for development works costing ₹6.30 crore at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Mangalagiri on Friday (July 3, 2026) morning. The works include a new Yagasala, the renovation of the Vahanasala and Ghanta Mandapam, and the restoration of the Sri Krishna Devaraya Mandapam.
On arrival at the temple, Mr. Lokesh was welcomed by temple priests and officials with Purnakumbham honours. He offered prayers and performed special rituals to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and Goddess Rajyalakshmi, and inspected model designs presented by the temple officials. Lokesh asked the officials to prepare a master plan for the development of the temple and the amenities needed for devotees, as per the temple traditions.
He also inspected the Pushkarini, or temple tank, and made several suggestions, and later received petitions from the public who had gathered outside the temple. Endowments Commissioner K. Ramachandra Mohan, temple executive
officer Koganti Sunil Kumar, Padmasali Welfare and Development Corporation chairman Nandam Abaddaiah, APMSIDC chairman Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, TTD board member Tammisetti Janaki Devi and TDP politburo member Guthikonda Dhananjay were among those present.
