The customs department questioned an actor in connection with Operation Numkor, an investigation into luxury vehicles allegedly smuggled from Bhutan and re-registered in India using manipulated documentation. The customs department previously seized four vehicles from the actor. The actor informed the department that he purchased these vehicles through agents and paid them through legal measures, remaining unaware of any illegal activities.
Two of the seized vehicles, including a Land Rover, were released after he approached the Kerala High Court. However, customs officials state that there are four more vehicles with him and have directed him to submit documents and produce those vehicles for clarity and confirmation.
