Most of the HAMMER munitions will be supplied to the Indian Air Force for its Rafale and Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas fleets, while the Indian Navy will equip its Rafale Marine aircraft with the system. The council is also expected to consider the procurement of Russian-origin Verba very short-range air defence missile systems (V_SHORADS) for the Army Air Defence. The missile systems will be manufactured in India by Adani Defence Limited. The Verba is an advanced version of the Igla missile system currently in service with the Indian Army. Other proposals likely to come up before the DAC include software-defined radios, kamikaze drones, drone detection systems and Scorpene-class submarines.
