A police investigation is underway in Bengaluru after videos surfaced showing the alleged abuse of toddlers at a daycare centre operating inside an IT company campus. The children were reportedly subjected to punishments such as being forced into a washing machine drum, sprayed with water in their mouths, and locked in bathrooms for crying. Following a complaint, the Bengaluru Police registered an FIR against five women caregivers.
The daycare facility on the campus has been temporarily shut down, and the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has intervened. Corporate representatives and the state government have assured an investigation to establish accountability.
