Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has plans to expand boating activities across tourist destinations in the State and introduce solar-powered and electric boats in phases. APTDC Chairman N. Balaji announced this at the corporation’s board meeting held aboard a caravan during its nearly two-and-a-half-hour journey from Vijayawada to Suryalanka Beach in Bapatla of Guntur district on Wednesday, showcasing the potential of caravan tourism as a unique travel experience.
The board meeting decided to promote investments in the tourism sector through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, provide a wide range of quality food options at APTDC hotels, further develop caravan, beach, and experiential tourism, attract investments for new tourism projects, and strengthen tourism infrastructure in the State.
