Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has plans to expand boating activities across tourist destinations in the State and introduce solar-powered and electric boats in phases. APTDC Chairman N. Balaji announced this at the corporation’s board meeting held aboard a caravan during its nearly two-and-a-half-hour journey from Vijayawada to Suryalanka Beach in Bapatla of Guntur district on Wednesday, showcasing the potential of caravan tourism as a unique travel experience.
The board meeting decided to promote investments in the tourism sector through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, provide a wide range of quality food options at APTDC hotels, further develop caravan, beach, and experiential tourism, attract investments for new tourism projects, and strengthen tourism infrastructure in the State. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on implementing innovative initiatives to create modern infrastructure through investor-friendly policies to develop tourism. He thanked Mr. Naidu for deciding to enhance the retirement age of APTDC employees. The meeting was attended by Special Chief
