Indian passport fees in UAE revised from July 1 Higher charges for fresh passports and Tatkaal services Revised fees for minors PCC and other consular services also revised Validity and additional charges New outsourcing partner takes charge Indian nationals applying for passport and related consular services in the UAE will have to pay higher fees from July 1, 2026, following a revision announced by the Government of India.The new fee structure will be applicable at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General of India in Dubai and all Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across the UAE.The revision marks the first increase in passport service charges since 2012 and is part of the Centre's broader move to standardise passport fees across Indian missions worldwide, Khaleej Times reported.Under the revised rates, a 36-page passport for a fresh application or reissue will cost Dh450 under the normal scheme, up from Dh285, while applicants opting for the Tatkaal (expedited) service will pay Dh900.For a 60-page passport, the fee has been fixed at Dh630 under the normal category and Dh1,080 under Tatkaal.Applicants seeking replacement of a lost or damaged passport will face steeper charges.

A replacement 36-page passport will cost Dh900 under the normal scheme and Dh1,350 under Tatkaal. For a 60-page passport, the corresponding charges are Dh1,080 and Dh1,530, respectively.The government has also revised passport fees for applicants below 18 years of age.A fresh or reissued 36-page passport for minors will now cost Dh325 under the normal category and Dh775 under the Tatkaal scheme. In cases involving lost or damaged passports, the charges have been fixed at Dh775 for normal processing and Dh1,225 for Tatkaal.In a relief for families, the government has introduced a 10 per cent discount on fresh passport applications for children up to eight years of age, reducing the fee to Dh295 under the normal scheme and Dh700 under Tatkaal. The concession, however, will not apply to passport renewals or reissues.The fee hike also extends to several consular services.The cost of Police Clearance Certificates (PCCs), Surrender Certificates and Global Entry Program verifications has been increased to Dh145, up from Dh95.An Emergency Certificate will now cost Dh60, while a Certificate of Identity has been priced at Dh180.

These services are not available under the Tatkaal category.The government has clarified that passports issued to applicants aged 18 years and above will continue to carry a 10-year validity, while passports issued to minors will remain valid for five years or until the holder turns 18, whichever is earlier.The revised government fees do not include the processing charges of the outsourced service provider or the
