Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions in the Old City from July 1 until the completion of cement concrete (CC) road-laying works between OP Chatrinaka and the starting point of Kandikal Gate flyover. The road works will cover a stretch of around 225 metres on one of the major approach roads connecting Chatrinaka to the Chandrayangutta flyover (Old Gutta X roads).
According to the advisory, vehicles travelling from Nallavagu graveyard towards the Kandikal Gate flyover will be diverted at the Nallavagu graveyard U-turn towards Old Gutta. Motorists travelling from Laldarwaja towards OP Chatrinaka will be diverted at Baba Barlane towards Engine Bowli. Similarly, commuters travelling from Gowlipura towards OP Chatrinaka will be diverted at OP Chatrinaka towards Laldarwaja, while vehicles travelling from Uppuguda towards OP Chatrinaka will be diverted at Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple towards Gowlipura.
The traffic police have advised commuters to avoid the affected stretch, plan their journey in advance and use alternative routes until the road-laying works are completed.
