The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister chaired the first political alliance meeting in Chennai, which was attended by various parties including the Congress, the VCK, the MDMK, and the AIADMK. However, the left parties skipped the meeting, stating they only intend to provide outside support for government formation. While other parties have officially joined hands to form a unified alliance, the left parties maintained a neutral political stance.
Although there was anticipation regarding the announcement of a formal name for the new political alliance based on secular values and social justice, the Chief Minister has deferred the official announcement to discuss the name with alliance partners beforehand.
