A senior Trinamool Congress leader faced an attack when eggs and eggplants were hurled at a party office in the Nadia district of West Bengal. The incident occurred while a meeting was underway on the third floor of the Kaliganj facility. The politician alleged that supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party orchestrated the attack and accused the central security forces and local police of acting as silent spectators during the disruption.
Visuals from the scene captured the chaos as items were thrown through the window panes. Despite the unrest and advice from party colleagues to evacuate the premises with police assistance, the lawmaker refused to leave the spot. Authorities have deployed additional police personnel outside the party office to maintain law and order and disperse the crowds. The ruling state party leaders have condemned this form of protest, while a formal police complaint is expected to be lodged against those involved in the incident.
