A former employee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has made a series of allegations against individuals associated with the management of the Ram Temple, adding a fresh layer of controversy as investigations into the donation-theft case continue to widen. The former employee, who claims to have worked at the Ram Temple for around 18 months, alleged that Tinnu Yadav—close associate and driver of the trust’s former general secretary Champat Rai—would make ‘sevadars’ and employees massage his feet. Speaking to News18 India, he further claimed that e trust member Anil Mishra and official Gopal Rai effectively ran the affairs inside the temple premises and allegedly harassed employees.
According to the former staffer, appointments and job security were often based on recommendations, and acquaintances and relatives of influential individuals allegedly received jobs at the temple. He also alleged that commissions were taken from small companies seeking work related to temple operations. In a way, they are victims," the former employee claimed. When asked about Champat Rai, the former employee said he did not wish to make any allegations against him. “I do not want to say anything about Champat Rai. I have no complaints against him," he said. Claims Linked To Donation-Theft Accused The former employee also spoke about the accused in the ongoing donation-theft case, saying he used to meet them frequently. “We would often meet at the tea canteen inside the temple premises. From their behaviour, I felt they were involved in something suspicious," he alleged. Probe Already Under Spotlight The allegations come at a time when the Ram Temple Trust is already facing intense scrutiny over an alleged donation embezzlement case.

Investigators alleged that cash was siphoned off over a prolonged period, with some accused allegedly hiding money in washrooms and using methods to avoid CCTV surveillance. News18 had reported that the probe had widened to examine the role of a Varanasi-based security agency that handled cash-related operations at the temple. Investigators are also looking into possible financial irregularities and whether the alleged embezzlement involved a larger network. As part of the investigation, Champat Rai was questioned by the SIT regarding operational procedures related to donation handling and security arrangements.
