Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted doctors and chartered accountants on Doctors' Day and Chartered Accountants' Day, saying their work has earned the trust and gratitude of countless people. He said that over the last decade, India has made significant strides in strengthening the healthcare ecosystem. The number of medical colleges has more than doubled, while undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats have expanded substantially, he said. “This unprecedented growth is creating greater opportunities for aspiring doctors, building a stronger healthcare workforce and ensuring that quality medical care reaches every corner of the country,” PM Modi said.
He added that doctors will continue to play a pivotal role in promoting preventive healthcare, advancing medical research, embracing innovation, and delivering affordable and accessible healthcare for all. Greeting the CA fraternity, PM Modi said chartered accountants have long been trusted partners in India’s economic journey. He said that through their commitment to transparency and professional excellence, they strengthen the country’s financial systems, support businesses, encourage entrepreneurship, and inspire confidence among investors. “Their expertise contributes significantly to economic growth and nation-building,” PM Modi said in a post.
