A new United Nations Commission of Inquiry report has levelled serious allegations against Israel, accusing its military of deliberately targeting and killing Palestinian children during operations in Gaza. The inquiry states that these actions amount to genocide and crimes against humanity, noting that over twenty thousand children have been killed since October twenty twenty-three. The commission highlights that despite a ceasefire in October twenty twenty-five, the killing and severe injury of minors continue.
The report details the use of high-yield bombs in densely populated areas and the deployment of quadcopters, sniper rifles, and drones specifically targeting minors. Medical professionals have reported treating numerous infants for extensive injuries caused by tungsten pellets. Furthermore, the findings indicate that orphanages and educational facilities across the region have been systematically dismantled. In response to these accusations, Israel has entirely rejected the findings of the inquiry, dismissing the comprehensive report as a propaganda piece and refusing to engage with the United Nations commission.
