Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly murdered at Lohagad Fort earlier this month, had shared his concerns with family members about his fiancée Siya Goyal’s behaviour and questioned whether her background had been properly verified before their marriage was fixed, police said. According to investigators, Ketan had also expressed suspicion that Siya was involved in a relationship with another person. Ketan was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18 by Siya Goyal (20) and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary (22). The couple was scheduled to marry in November. Both accused have been arrested and remanded in police custody till July 3.

Investigators said Ketan and Siya had visited Lohagad Fort on June 14, four days before his death. Police have earlier alleged that Siya attempted to push Ketan off the same cliff during that visit, but he managed to hold onto a bush. Ketan Doubts His Fiancée After June 14 Visit To Lohagad Fort “After returning from the Lohgad Fort on June 14, Ketan had once again asked his father whether they had conducted a thorough inquiry about Siya before fixing the marriage. Ketan told his father that her phone was often busy whenever he called her and that she frequently mentioned Chaudhary during their conversations," the police official said. According to police, Ketan had told his family he suspected Siya was having an affair. His family, however, reassured him that there was likely no reason for concern as the Goyal family was related to them. On Sunday, police took Goyal to Lohagad Fort to reconstruct the alleged crime scene using a human-sized dummy.
