The Tamil Nadu government led by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is consolidating its support base by calling an alliance meeting on July 1st. Invites have been sent to the Congress, VCK, MDMK, and IUML. This development follows MDMK withdrawing support from the DMK to back the TVK.
Furthermore, AIADMK MLAs have resigned from their party to join the TVK-led government, criticising their former party's plans to ally with the DMK. The TVK-led administration is strengthening its coalition as former DMK allies shift their support, countering predictions that the current government would not last.
