Before his death, he shared a WhatsApp status that read: “None is responsible for my death. Will meet my Marley Caesar now." The animals had fallen seriously ill, and despite being taken to Guwahati for treatment, both died. Those close to him said he was deeply affected by their loss. Dwaipayan was well known in the area for his love for animals and his efforts to help injured and sick pets.
Friends described him as a calm, kind and compassionate person who often assisted pet owners in arranging treatment for animals. They said he considered Marley and Caesar part of his family, the report said. Police are investigating the case, while tributes have poured in from friends and local residents remembering Dwaipayan for his compassion towards both people and animals. Suicide Prevention.
