A recent interview highlights the findings of an Independent International Commission of Inquiry report on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, which accuses Israeli forces of deliberately targeting children during military operations in Gaza. The commission details the use of continuous airstrikes in densely populated areas and the deployment of quadcopters fitted with thermal imaging to target individuals, resulting in a disproportionate number of child fatalities.
The findings also address allegations of war crimes and the creation of thousands of orphans. In response, Israeli authorities have reportedly rejected the findings, citing the involvement of non-state actors initiating the conflict and dismissing the commission as biased.
