The Women Safety Wing of Telangana Police on Tuesday announced that Operation Muskaan-XII will be carried out from July 1 to July 31. The announcement was made during a State-level online convergence meeting attended by police units, government departments and NGOs, where officials finalised the strategy and implementation framework for the annual campaign.
Director General of the Women Safety Wing, Charu Sinha, stressed the need for coordinated action among multiple departments to ensure the success of the operation. She said the campaign would
focus on tracing missing children, rescuing children from exploitation and strengthening measures for their long-term protection and rehabilitation. She directed officials to prioritise the identification of repeat offenders and employers
involved in child exploitation while optimising roles of Special Juvenile Police Units, Anti-Human Trafficking Units, Sub-Divisional Operation Muskaan teams, District Child Protection Officers, Child Welfare Committees and child care institutions.
