The arrival of the monsoon has triggered waterlogging and disrupted daily life across several parts of India. Heavy rains submerged the Andheri subway and roads in Navi Mumbai's Vashi, leading to major traffic congestion. In Gujarat's Surat, rainwater entered homes, and a road caved in due to alleged poor drainage work.
Meanwhile, floodwaters in Assam's Dhemaji district swept away a three-hundred-metre iron bridge over the Kemi River, affecting regional connectivity. Widespread waterlogging was also reported in Bihar's Rohtas and Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar, where floodwaters entered homes and a residential school, while Ranchi received relief from humidity.
