US and Iranian negotiators will arrive in Qatar on Tuesday for apparent talks on a potential peace deal after days of strikes that began Thursday when Iran fired on a ship traveling the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social Monday that Iran had asked for a meeting and he agreed to send Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for those talks.
The Supreme Court is set to release its final opinions of the current term, including highly anticipated rulings on birthright citizenship, a transgender athlete ban and campaign finances. The opinions are set to be released beginning at 10AM ET on Tuesday. The death toll has surpassed 1,700 after last week's back-to-back earthquakes in a Venezuela with 45,000 people still believed to be missing, according to Venezuelan government officials.
