Financial assistance was also handed over to eligible families under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana. Traders recognised for their contribution to social development were felicitated. Addressing the gathering, Adityanath contrasted present-day Rampur with the situation before 2017 and targeted the Samajwadi Party over governance and development. "The Rampur of pre-2017 and the Rampur of post-2017 are before you all," he said.
He alleged that earlier governments enabled injustice and neglect, saying, "There was a time when the lands of the poor were usurped here, and the Valmiki community was forcibly deprived of their land; when power becomes autocratic, it becomes synonymous with injustice". Referring to political changes in the state, he added, "Under the Samajwadi Party, that very unjust regime sought to silence the voices of the local Dalits and the poor; whenever power becomes unjust, the people—the ultimate authority—overthrow it".
The Chief Minister also claimed Uttar Pradesh had previously faced governance and law-and-order challenges and said development benefits were limited to select groups. After the Rampur programme, the Chief Minister proceeded to Bareilly, where he is scheduled to review ongoing development initiatives and assess the law-and-order situation in the division. The visit formed part of the state government’s broader outreach and infrastructure push across key districts of Uttar Pradesh. Ends With agency inputs
