An investigation into the alleged donation scam at the Ram Mandir has expanded from the temple premises to the banking system. The Special Investigation Team has questioned the role of the radio maintenance officer who oversaw the temple's security and surveillance network for seventeen years before being transferred. Meanwhile, the leading Hindu organization associated with the temple movement has distanced itself from the controversy, stating that the temple trust is solely responsible for administration.
Legal representation has also been denied to the eight arrested accused by the local bar association. A committee has been formed to initiate legal action against three trust members, seeking to prevent them from leaving the city. Despite the ongoing controversy, daily offerings from devotees have nearly doubled. Furthermore, audit reports revealed significant professional failures within the trust, including ignored warnings, weak financial controls, and a lack of systematic records for over three thousand five hundred crore rupees in cash donations and jewelry, pointing to severe data management issues.
