All eight arrested accused in the Ram Mandir donation theft case have been sent to fourteen more days of judicial custody. Questions are being raised over when the trust became aware of the theft and the delay in registering the police complaint. The investigation has revealed that property worth lakhs was purchased in the temple town allegedly using siphoned funds.
Additionally, cash was recovered from an accused person's house during searches. Although the trust management allegedly knew about the irregularities and informal action was taken early, the official police complaint was registered weeks later. The role of the managing trust and affiliated organizations in the management and oversight of the donations is now under scrutiny.
