The discussions are reportedly focused on finalising details of a possible agreement to reduce tensions across multiple fronts in the region. Iran and the United States have reportedly reached a preliminary framework of understanding regarding Iran’s frozen assets, with Qatar playing a key mediation role, Al Jazeera, citing an informed source, reported. If confirmed, an official announcement on a broader agreement could come as early as tomorrow. A high-level Iranian delegation that includes the country’s top negotiator and foreign minister was in Doha on Monday to discuss an agreement with the US and the release of frozen funds.
