The CM constituted an inquiry committee, which conducted an investigation, and action has been taken against those found responsible for the negligence," the Minister said. He said the Chief Minister had also directed that corrected copies of the textbooks be sent to every government school so that teachers could use the revised versions while teaching.
"These corrected books will be used in classrooms to ensure that teaching is carried out properly without affecting students’ learning," Mr. Gond said. Meanwhile, following the government’s directions, education authorities in some districts have started distributing correction sheets to schools to rectify the mistakes in the textbooks. Bhadrak district education officer Chakradhar Mallik said correction sheets identifying the errors and their rectifications had already been supplied to schools.
"The teachers will correct the errors and teach accordingly," he informed. Meanwhile, citizens took out a protest in Berhampur and submitted a memorandum to the CM through the Ganjam district education officer for the complete withdrawal of the error-ridden textbooks and the distribution of revised books.
