Yogi Challenges SP On Mathura Amid Ayodhya Temple Theft Row; 8 Accused Denied Bail
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has challenged Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav to advocate for the liberation of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has challenged Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav to advocate for the liberation of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. This political confrontation unfolds amid opposition criticism targeting the BJP over alleged donation thefts at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. The Samajwadi Party retaliated, accusing the ruling party of appeasement politics and warning that a new trust in Mathura would lead to similar financial irregularities.
Meanwhile, investigations into the Ayodhya case are escalating, with eight accused remanded to fourteen days in judicial custody. The Ayodhya Bar Association announced a boycott, refusing to represent the accused. The police probe is focusing on key suspects Anukul Mishra and Love Kush Mishra, scrutinising their recent property acquisitions. Crucial questions are also being raised about the temple trust's prior knowledge of the financial siphoning.
General Secretary Champat Rai has submitted a statement to the police, while senior trustee Anil Mishra is expected to be questioned.
