Responding to a question on whether steps have been taken to increase the revenue of the Transport Department, he said that to increase the revenue, various action plans are considered, including hiking fees for fancy numbers.
The Chief Minister instructed that there should be bus facilities to connect every remote village and that buses should have facilities that everyone, including the Chief Minister, could travel. While the Chief Minister travelled in a government bus recently in Chennai, he wished that the new buses to be procured had air conditioning facilities.
