Haryana, Rajasthan Sign Yamuna Water Pact After 32 Years, Says Union Minister CR Paatil | Watch Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil announced that Haryana and Rajasthan have formalised a long-pending agreement on sharing Yamuna waters, 32 years after the original 1994 pact. Under the new MoA, Rajasthan's share of water will be supplied from the Hathnikund Barrage through an underground pipeline via the Western Yamuna Canal system during the monsoon.
The project aims to provide a long-term drinking water solution for water-scarce districts including Churu, Sikar and Jhunjhunu.
