At least two people were killed when the assailant opened fire inside a restaurant with the two others killed elsewhere, with the assailant fleeing in a car, AFP quoted DHA saying. Police have launched a widespread manhunt, including helicopters, for the accused. The incident happened near Tarsus, about 40 kilometres northeast of Mersin. AFP quoted DHA stating that the shooter was a 17-year-old armed with a shotgun. The victims included restaurant owner, one of his employees, a young man grazing livestock and a truck driver.
The incident came a month after two shooting attacks by teenagers were reported. In one of the attack, 16 were injured and in the other 10 people died.
