Police Reveal Plan To Evade CCTVs | Exclusive Reported By, Last Updated: June 29, 2026, 13:19 IST Investigators also say that during the reconstruction, Siya led police directly to the exact cliff near the historic Elephant Tank on Lohagad Fort from where Ketan was pushed Rapid Read Police sources claim Chetan Chaudhary entered Lohagad Fort wearing a dark hoodie but just before the murder, he changed into a T-shirt. As the police custody of murder accused Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary ends on Monday, investigators claim to have pieced together what they describe as the most crucial phase of the probe into the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal. According to exclusive details accessed by News18, Pune Rural Police believe Chetan went to unusual lengths to avoid detection on the day of the murder, including changing his clothes midway through the operation in an alleged attempt to mislead investigators and potential eyewitnesses. Police sources claim Chetan entered Lohagad Fort wearing a dark hoodie, ensuring that he appeared in CCTV footage at the entry point and other surveillance cameras in that outfit. However, just before the alleged murder, he changed into a T-shirt, only to change back into the hoodie immediately after Ketan was pushed into the gorge. Since Lohagad Fort has very few CCTV cameras, primarily at the entry gate, a midpoint and the popular selfie point, police say the accused allegedly wanted anyone who may have seen them near the crime scene to remember a person dressed differently from the one captured on surveillance footage. According to police sources, the reconstruction has strengthened their belief that the accused wanted to eliminate the possibility of any eyewitness linking Chetan to the crime scene. ‘It Wasn’t An Accident’ The alleged clothing change is only one of several findings that investigators say emerged during the crime scene recreation. Police sources claim they are now “almost clear" that Ketan’s death was not an accident but a planned murder allegedly carried out by Siya Goyal. During the reconstruction, investigators say Siya led police directly to the exact cliff near Hatti Talav, the historic Elephant Tank on Lohagad Fort, from where Ketan allegedly fell. However, police claim Siya neither hesitated nor searched for the spot during the recreation. Instead, she allegedly walked investigators straight to the precise edge. Lohagad Fort is spread across a vast area with several viewpoints and steep drops.
