Speaking at a candlelight march organised at Belmondo Society in Gahunje on the outskirts of Pune, Ketan’s father, said that several people had witnessed the incident or the moments before and after it but had not yet approached the police. The march was attended by Ketan’s family members, friends and local residents, who gathered to demand justice. “Some people are messaging us, saying they were present at the fort, but they are not approaching the police. I urge all of them to come forward and help us get justice for Ketan.

I assure them they will not face any problems," he said as quoted by India Today. He further demanded death sentence for the accused. “I have just one appeal. My 26-year-old son was killed for no apparent reason—a reason that remains unknown to this day. My child was not at fault in any way. I had set out to arrange his marriage and bring a daughter-in-law into the family. I never imagined I would lose my child instead. So, I appeal to everyone to ensure that he gets justice and that his killers receive the death sentence. I am completely satisfied with their efforts. He demanded the strictest punishment for the accused and called for a thorough investigation into everyone connected with the marriage.
