England, France and Argentina have all moved into the Round of 32 competition at the FIFA World Cup.
England will take on DR Congo, France will face Sweden, while Argentina will take on Cape Verde. “I am still stuck on France for being the best side I have seen, in terms of their attacking options and the threat they pose. I still think England have a really good chance," Terry said while speaking on Piers Morgan’s Sports Uncensored. “I know I got a bit of stick for picking France and England as my two sides. I have to say, I have been really impressed with Argentina. Forget Messi, forget the goals he is scoring, in terms of how they are pressing, you watch when Argentina lose the ball, they go and counter-press and win the ball high up the pitch," Terry added.
“I think that is in fear of that they know they don’t have 11 men that are going to track back, Messi being that person. They win the ball high, they give it to him and he can produce a bit of magic," Terry said. France and Argentina have maintained perfect records at the FIFA World Cup till now, winning every game. England, meanwhile, were held to a draw by Ghana but still progressed as Group L winners without suffering a loss. Meanwhile, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann said on Sunday that only winning the FIFA World Cup would silence his team’s critics as they prepare for their Round of 32 clash against Paraguay.
