Rajyotsava award winner, educationalist and founder chairman of Kanakadasa Education Society B.F. Dandin (92) passed away in Gadag on Saturday. A large number of people took part in the funeral organised on Sunday.
He is survived by sons Ravindranath Dandin, who is the Chairman of Kanakadasa Education Society, Nagaraj B. Dandin, who is the Chairman of Swami Vivekanand Education Society, and three daughters. B.F. Dandin established Kanakadasa Education Society in 1965 and subsequently, was responsible for the establishment of over 65 educational institutions across the region, including in Gadag and Dhawad districts.
A host of leaders, seers, Rajya Sabha member M. Nagaraj, MLA C.C. Patil, MLC S.V. Sankanur, the former Minister Byrati Basavaraj, the former MP K.
Virupaksha and others were among those who paid their last respects to the departed soul.
