A female leopard, nearly one-year-old, was rescued from a toilet at the S.V. Veterinary University (SVVU) Clinical Complex on Monday (May 25, 2026) morning. It was shifted to the Animal Rescue Centre at the S.V. Zoological Park, Tirupati for observation and further care. “The rescue operation was conducted under the supervision of Tirupati Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Y. Srinivasa Reddy and other officials,” S.V. Zoological Park Curator Anurag Meena said in a statement. “All protocols have been followed to ensure the safety of the animal and the personnel involved. The animal is being closely monitored by the veterinary team at the S.V. Zoological Park.
