SUV Rams Into Reversing Car On Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Family Of 4 Killed In Crash | Video Published By, Last Updated: June 28, 2026, 18:49 IST Police said the car was reportedly reversing after missing an exit when the speeding SUV crashed into it from behind. The entire sequence was captured on highway surveillance cameras and has since gone viral on social media. At least four people were killed in a tragic road accident on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, after a Tiago car was hit by a Scorpio while reversing on the highway. Police said the car was reportedly reversing after missing an exit when the speeding SUV crashed into it from behind. In the video, widely shared on X, the Tiago is seen reversing on the expressway as fast-moving traffic passes on both sides.
Within seconds, a Scorpio approaches from behind at high speed and slams into the car with heavy force. The impact throws the Tiago forward, after which it begins to zig-zag violently across the road. It first hits the left-side crash barrier, then rebounds across the carriageway and strikes the right-side barrier. The car continues to skid uncontrollably. The Scorpio, meanwhile, loses balance on impact, spins a full 360-degree, and eventually overturns with its wheels facing upward. According to an India Today report, the four deceased were members of the same family. They were travelling from Bahadurgarh in Haryana to Haridwar for a religious visit, including a holy dip in the Ganga and temple darshan, when the accident took place. The force of the collision was so severe that both vehicles were extensively damaged.
The entire sequence was captured on highway surveillance cameras and has since gone viral on social media. The deceased have been identified as Praveen (40), his wife Preeti (37), his elderly mother Sudesh, and nine-year-old Shivansh. Three other family members sustained serious injuries and were taken to the district hospital’s trauma centre for treatment. Police said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and a detailed investigation is underway. Officials are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the crash.
