The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister launched the Pulse Polio Immunisation Campaign in the state. The inaugural event took place at the Adi Dravidar Welfare Higher Secondary School in Palavakkam, where the Chief Minister administered oral polio vaccine drops to children. This statewide health campaign targets fifty-two point nine one lakh children below and over the age of five.
The vaccination drive is being conducted across more than forty-three thousand centres. During the launch event, the Chief Minister's interaction with a child became a widely discussed moment and went viral.
