Drugs Hidden In Woman's Private Parts; 7 Arrested As Kerala Police Seize 308 Gram Of MDMA Published By, Last Updated: June 28, 2026, 16:53 IST Kerala police arrest seven in Thrissur and Chavakkad, seize 308 grams of MDMA worth over Rs 15 lakh in linked narcotics cases, all accused in custody. The operation began on Friday night when personnel from the Peechi police station intercepted a car during a vehicle inspection Seven people, including two women, have been arrested in Kerala’s Thrissur district after police recovered 308 grams of MDMA in two linked narcotics cases, police said, adding that two grams of the drug were concealed in the private parts of one of the two women.
According to police, the operation began on Friday night when a team from the Peechi police station intercepted a car at a vehicle checking post at Vaniyampara. PTI quoted the police saying that they conducted a detailed search as the passengers in the car seemed suspicious. Upon search, two grams of MDMA concealed in the private parts of one of the two women, they said. The arrested were identified as Shifaz (26) of Kakkassery, Vidya (28) of Nenmeni, Jishnu (27) of Attayoor and Sreelakshmi (20) of Nambazhikad. Police said the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force were immediately informed and during interrogation the accused reportedly informed that they were returning after attending a party at a resort in Muthalamada in Palakkad district.
After the interrogation, police conducted a search at Shifaz’s house under the Pavaratty station limits which led to the seizure of 13 grams of MDMA. PTI quoted officials saying that the accused also told them that more narcotics had been removed from the house by Shifaz’s friend Sumesh. While tracking Sumesh, Chavakkad police arrested two of his associates — Shabeer P A (37) of Thaikkad and Ansad (33) of Chavakkad – and recovered 288.8 grams of MDMA from an aluminium fabrication shop at Thaikkad on Saturday. Later, Sumesh was arrested. Police, at the end of investigation, recovered a total of 308 grams of MDMA, valued at over Rs 15 lakh, in two cases registered at the Peechi and Chavakkad stations.
All seven accused have been produced before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody, police added.
