भारत के प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने संबोधन में सेशेल्स की राष्ट्रीय विधानसभा, राष्ट्रपति, स्पीकर और देश की जनता का अभिवादन करते हुए कहा कि भारत और सेशेल्स के संबंध केवल 50 वर्षों के राजनयिक रिश्तों तक सीमित नहीं हैं, बल्कि सदियों पुराने ऐतिहासिक, सांस्कृतिक और मानवीय संबंधों पर आधारित हैं। उन्होंने सेशेल्स की स्वतंत्रता के 50 वर्ष पूरे होने पर बधाई दी और भारत के 1.4 अरब लोगों की ओर से शुभकामनाएँ दीं। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि 2015 में प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद उनकी पहली हिंद महासागर और अफ्रीका यात्रा सेशेल्स की थी, जो भारत की विदेश नीति में इस देश के विशेष महत्व को दर्शाती है। उन्होंने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए मिले सम्मान के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया और दोनों देशों के बीच लोगों, परिवारों और पीढ़ियों से बने मजबूत संबंधों की सराहना की।
उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि हिंद महासागर भारत और सेशेल्स को अलग नहीं करता, बल्कि उन्हें एक-दूसरे से जोड़ता है। अंत में उन्होंने दोनों देशों को पुराने मित्र बताते हुए भविष्य में और अधिक सहयोग, मित्रता तथा साझेदारी को मजबूत करने का संदेश दिया। In his address, the Prime Minister of India greeted the Assembly of Seychelles, the President, the Speaker, and the people of the country. He stated that India-Seychelles relations are not limited to 50 years of diplomatic relations, but are based on centuries-old historical, cultural, and humanitarian ties. He congratulated Seychelles on its 50th anniversary of independence and extended best wishes on behalf of India's 1.4 billion people.
The Prime Minister noted that Seychelles was his first visit to the Indian Ocean and Africa since becoming Prime Minister in 2015, reflecting the country's special importance in India's foreign policy. He expressed gratitude for the recognition received for environmental protection and commended the strong ties between the two countries, forged across peoples, families, and generations. He emphasized that the Indian Ocean does not separate India and Seychelles, but rather connects them. Finally, he described the two countries as old friends and pledged to further strengthen cooperation, friendship, and partnership in the future.
