The United States has conducted fresh military strikes against Iranian military sites, targeting drone and air defence facilities. According to the United States Central Command, these strikes were carried out after Iran launched a one-way attack drone against the Panama-flagged tanker MT Kiku near the Strait of Hormuz. This followed a previous attack on another vessel, MV Ever Lovely.
The United States stated that Iran has failed to honour the ceasefire agreement. Additionally, tensions are mounting on the Lebanon front, where Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon have violated a deal signed with the Lebanese government, and Hezbollah has rejected the agreement. US forces remain on high alert to protect commercial shipping in the Gulf.
