Cyberabad civic body removes 506 encroachments from footpaths on 15 road stretches

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday, June 27 removed 506 encroachments from footpaths across 15 road stretches covering 30.29 km during a city-wide enforcement drive, as part of an initiative to restore public footpaths, improve pedestrian safety and ensure obstruction-free movement. In the Serilingampally Zone, the drive covered five road stretches spanning 10.8 km, where 197 encroachments were removed.
The operation was conducted from Gandipet X Road to Sai Baba Temple in Narsingi Circle, Main Road in Patancheru Circle, BHEL Circle to RC Puram Nagulamma Temple in Ameenpur Circle, Manjeera Pipeline Road in Miyapur Circle and Telecom Nagar Road in Serilingampally Circle. In Kukatpally Zone, officials cleared 105 encroachments along three road stretches covering 3.16 km. The drive was undertaken on HUDA Techno Enclave Road in Madhapur Circle, Mithra Hills Road in Allwyn Colony Circle and KPHB Road No. 1 in Kukatpally Circle.
The largest operation was carried out in Quthbullapur Zone, where 204 encroachments were removed from seven road stretches covering 15.53 km. The drive covered Narsapur Road in Chintal Circle, Suchitra Road in Jeedimetla Circle, Om Janda Circle to Rajiv Gruha Kalpa in Kompally Circle, Devender Nagar Road in Gajularamaram Circle, Nizampet Road in Nizampet Circle, Mallampet Road in Dundigal Circle and Medchal Railway Station Road in Medchal Circle.
CMC Commissioner G. Srijana directed officials to continue the footpath encroachment removal drive in a phased manner across other identified locations in Cyberabad.
